Without Further Ado, the 2018 Filament Awards Go to…
Best Health & Wellness Coach
Looking great isn’t just about being fit – to us, it’s about how we feel – which is why we’re honoring our coaches at Runfit MKE & Kinetic MKE. Karen helps us kick-butt every Monday morning, encouraging mindfulness and setting us up for a strong work week. At Kinetic, Trey leads us in a movement experience called GYROTONIC®. Gyro stretches our bodies, detoxes any negativity, and releases all-day endorphins.
If you’re really looking to radiate, check out our friend Jennifer Hruz from VIVA Wellness. She’s got all the wellness drips and tricks you’ll need feel alive.
Best Business Coach
Meryl Streep is possibly one of the few actors who can speak off-the-cuff and do it well - most actors need coaching to make an eloquent acceptance speech in front of their peers. And, as business owners, we do, too. This is where someone like Rebecca Heidepriem of Action Coach steps in.
Rebecca Heidepriem has been a great business resource and coach for Filament Communication over the past three years. She has years of experience helping business owners articulate their vision, goals, and brand. Better yet, she also builds confidence, so you can sell, network, and turn "suspects" into "raving fans" of your business.
Best Financial Resources
When it comes to financial resources for start-ups and small-medium size businesses, look no further than Du Charme Financial Group and Wisconsin Bank & Trust. Rob Du Charme will not only provide guidance for your business– he will help with your personal finances, too. And, for those who need a line of credit, Nick is your trusted man at Wisconsin Bank & Trust.
Another financial resource you’ll want tap into: MOR Strategy Group. We’ve loved working directly with Nancy. She has been committed to strengthening the employee value at Filament by helping us offer health enhancing and voluntary benefits – even though we’re small!
Best Food & Beverage
Whether you’re looking for after party/private party/wedding/corporate caterer, you’ll love Tall Guy and A Grill. In 2016-17 Filament hosted monthly networking events (check out our mindshine blogs) and Tall Guy was our go-to. Everyone raved about the freshness and taste and we all felt proud supporting a caterer who sources locally.
For business owners who can’t find the time to shop and/or prep meals, The Real Good Life and Down to Earth Chef have been excellent resources for us. Or, if you’re looking to host a meeting over lunch or happy hour, don’t forget about the Hudson Business Lounge in the Third Ward (best kept secret in town!).
Best (Just Because)
When we’re working outside of the office and in the comfort of our homes, our pets are right by our side. Pets have improved our quality of living, which means we’re better at our jobs (and in life). And, Lakeside Animal Hospital is where our pets get the best care.
CSA season is coming up, which means Filament will have fresh, locally-sourced flowers in the office from Wood Violet – and this makes us ultra-happy. Additionally, as a way to express our gratitude to new Filament clients, we always give the gift of Wood Violet flowers. It’s a simple, smart way to impress.
